What are people using for charging their Gopro3 batteries?
Mine is never above 1/8 charge, and that's after using the pc usb socket for several hours!
Camera recording time is like 5 minutes at best! then it shuts down.
Tried fully discharging etc, etc. A search of gopro forums suggest that pc charging isn't much good (something wrong with the charge sensing in the gopro) and that a proper separate charger will sort out all problems!

Charging GoPro 3's seems a bit hit and miss to be honest.
I bought a 2 x 2 amp USB wall charger and it charges the camera battery and the extra battery pack from almost flat to full in about 3 hours. This one - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008DDG6DQ/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I sometimes have to turn the camera on and start charging then turn the camera off and it keeps charging but just trying to charge it switched off doesn't usually work - although it does sometimes !!!
When its hooked up to my laptop for downloading it usually charges the batteries.

I tend to use my mobile phone charger to charge anything that would use a USB plug. the charger is just a 3 pin 240v to standard USB port like you'd find on your computer, only with a higher current output. not 100% on the exact specs of it, but it came with a sony xperia phone.
this seems like yet another failure of the GoPro 3, along with the reported freezing. perhaps it's all in the firmware... it is a brand new(ish) camera so hopefully they'll get it started or they'll have to start replacing units.

Just found out that a new firmware was released a couple of days ago which is supposed to cure the locking up issue and the overheating issue and the not turning off properly issue and extends battery life!!!
We will see !!!

I bought a wasabi wall charger which came with a pair of batteries, it charges them in about 45mins and now I have 3 batteries to use down the field which last about 35-45mins recording time
