LOS Yak 55 with RX3S 3 Axis Stabiliser
« on: March 08, 2013, 10:27:26 PM »
Quickly installed an RX3S 3 axis stabiliser on my Yak 55 just out of curiosity really

It makes me look like a budding 3D pilot
Once I got the plane properly mechanically trimmed (took two 30 sec flights), I felt brave enough to try some stuff I hadn't before such as a knife edge left to right flowing into a knife edge right to left, much more solid inverted even ove the tree tops

If you fly a plane that hasn't got stabilisation built into it's OSD then try one of these bad boys out, they're pretty damned good and at less than £20 in the UK with the leads it's great value too

Yak 55 test with RX3S 3 Axis Stabiliser Gyro

This one is the V2 which can be switched on/off remotely via a spare channel on the TX, it also supports elevon, v-tail and planes where the ailerons aren't mechanically reversed
Think I might put another one on my WOT 4 Foam-E as well as a bigger motor for some more sporty fun :)
