I put the #16 keychain cam, and the GoPro on the wing of my funjet, equipped with a WDR600 FPV cam.
As you can see, the FPV cam is much better in low light than the other 2 cameras... extreme conditions I know, but this gives you an idea of why some FPVers recommend you DONT use the GoPro or #16 HD cam as your flight camera in low light conditions.
Strangely enough, the #16 HD cam performs better than the GoPro in the low light, you can see the shed through the window more clearly and the blue pulsing of the HornetOSD shining through the fuselage of the FJ.
