5.8GHz receivers.....

So I realised today I need a RX that's not the one built in to the fatshark's...... I've gone for a DUO5800 I was planning on using my Skew and a rubber duckie for them overhead moments... When I get round to building my VSWR, then a Helical antenna is on the cards, hopefully by then someone will have come out with a tracker for the DragonOSD.
Anyone else using one? Tips for mounting etc? My current thinking is to put it aloft a speaker stand..... just need the speaker stand first LOL.
Have I done the right thing? (its getting expensive this FPV lark!)

Yes the duo 5800 is a good investment. Good choice.

I would have a look at (Hugo's stuff) Truerc he has some amazing antennas that he makes up that is just right for any diversity unit

I was just about to put an order in with him but he's away at the moment so shall wait till he gets back but the kit in the above link is bang on the money for value when you compare it to buying a CP Patch antenna
