EzOSD Problems
« on: January 15, 2012, 06:28:23 PM »
I seem to have missing info from the OSD, the bottom line of voltage and consuption ect dissapeared.

I was trying to hook up the RSSI and the bottom lines vanished. Now i cant get them to reappear or get any RSSI info displayed. Everything else works fine.

Ive checked all wires with a meter for bac connections and made sure the pins were in the right place from the diagrams every where.

I have no idea why.  :-[

ok I have had that too, I had to send the OSD back to sander for repair, it came back last week but to be honest I havent tested it yet, things to try first though are disconnecting ezuhf ... so you just got the current sensor and the osd, does it come back? also check you are in different video mode as one of them can stretch the screen and you may loose some info of the bottom (long shot that one) have you got a spare current sensor to try?

Eventually I ended up with 3 current sensors, 2 OSDs and 2 UHF rx, it helps when you come to troubleshoot to have more than one of everything LOL

Damn, i was hoping you wouldnt say that, thanks for the reply.

Hooking up the orig wire so its just current sensor straight to OSD doesnt bring the info back. I have no spare CS to try.

By video mode do you mean margins? I just flicked thru them and it just moved the top line around, the bottom line didnt appear.

I checked my emails, I had one OSD that wouldnt display the current/rssi infor at all. I also had a UHF rx that when I plugged in a perfectly good OSD into it also the current/rssi info went off screen. If you have no luck with your new current sensor and you dont know anyone local you're welcome to send me the stuff (Cheshire) to test for you, as I said before it makes a hell of a difference troubleshooting when you have a 100% working setup already, just swap components one by one.

Well it's either the connecting cables or the osd, I can check the OSD for you or you could contact either the vendor or Sander, I'd try the vendor first assuming you got it in the uk.

Sadly, i got the OSD from HK, and their customer support isnt the greatest.

I dont think it can be the cables (as far as i know) i have checked them with a meter and there are no bad connections or shorts as far as i can tell.

I sent you a PM about shipping it to you to test.
