proper motor
Hi every body; infact I am an engineering student who needs your help. I've started working on building an RC VEHICLE that is REALY huge ; the frame weighs about 100 kg and the equipment mounted to the frame weighs about 250 kg . the top speed of the vehicle is about 45 km/hr .
I don't know what is the proper ELECTRICAL motor to use (ordinary motor or brushless motor).
Idon't know how much power it should have (2horse power or 3 )
how much does is gonna cost me (I don't have much money and I don't want a high quality motor that will last forever and cost me a fortune)
How can I control the speed of this motor;I mean is there any ESC that is suitable for such a motor
how much does is gonna cost me (I don't have much money)
If you know any book or website that talks about such a project please send me the links

I would assume a high torque motor with either belt or chain linkages to get correct gearing. I'd love to help but you're probably best off trying to find a robot building forum if I'm honest.

think your motors will be best coming from an electric wheel chair, ebike hub motors or something, rc motors the to power something that weight , that speed would be very expensive , think you will need nearly 8hp to go up any kind of an incline and maintain ability to do 30mph
does that weight allready include batterys ?
any other details for this project ?
