Wookong AP Platform

Hi chaps
I recently acquired a Wooking M for doing some AP work. Just for fun, but AP is my main interest really though I like the fpv and of course can use it in conjunction with AP to line stuff up for pictures/videos.
Do you need a Wooking these days with the Naza and GPS being as good as it is? No, not for hobby stuff - but do you need a lot of the gadgets we love to play with?
If we are fortunate enough to be able to treat ourselves though - that's what we do.
So my next thing was - what am I going to put it on? I have a Naza GPS on a quad setup, smaller and nicely 'flyable', so I wanted to try for a more sold and steady platform. I've been looking at all sorts but don't have a ton of money left.
I though I'd go for a decent lift and hopefully reasonable duration, and as I have a quad - thought I'd gof for a hexa either flat hexa or Y6. Hopefully with the right power/weight balance (2:1 apparently) - they can on occasion even survive a single motor/esc/prop failure and land.
Well - I added 'Y6' to my ebay searches and a frame with 6 motors turned up, and one spare motor too it turns out.
I bid - got lucky and got it at a good price. So meet my new Carbon Core 650 air frame complete with 6 x RCTimer 3536/11 motors!
I still have to get ESC's for it and some props. I'm going to go for Graupners hopefully, with the bottom props being the same diameter as the top ones - but a higher pitch. This apparently works to help on the efficiency a little as they obviously already have the air moving by the time it gets to them as the top props have got if shifting.
I'll keep the thread updated as things progress for those that are interested.
I'll try and add some information about weight/power setup considerations and the prop choice. If it gets too complicated though - I'll just chuck on what I can afford and get it in the air!

well done mate, congrats on the new purchase.
Been loving my hexa (home built frame with Naza GPS controller) so hope you have lots of fun with yours. Interested to see how much difference there is between Naza and Wookong.

Thanks Balders
I was going to build up a wood frame the other day as I couldn't see anything that suited at the time (that I could afford). wood is good for lots of reasons - primarily cost!
Yes it will be interesting to see if there is any difference. I read somewhere that the processor on the wookong it twice as fast as the Naza - if so that might make a difference - but the Naza is so damned good anyway - how much better can it get??
I like the Point of interest feature and things though so it will be interesting to try them out.
Just got to raise some funds for some ESC's and props.....
Hate waiting! lol

Yeah it's nice and sturdy, and foldable if you need it to. I might look at getting some longer arms on it later if it flies ok.
Should be ideal for what I have in mind though. Just starting to think about mounting up the gear and cameras etc.
I have an X468 2 axis gimbal that I got to go under the Naza quad but to be honest - I might go for something simple again to start.
