Aerial Photography Section - Excellent!!
« on: January 10, 2012, 03:08:03 PM »
AP is the main reason I got into the whole RC hobby.  It's great to see a section on here for that.

I keep trying different things. Have an EZ Glider at the moment which I clip a Canon on (so I can use CHDK for interval timer etc) and chuck in the air.

I use the FPV sometimes to try and monitor what it's taking but as yet can't concentrate on more than one thing at a time (man thing I'm told!).

Trying to get a copter steady for closer type stuff is the aim.   I seem to keep going around in circles though.  Maybe a Naza is the way forward.

I'll try and get some pics up to show  - nothing amazing but it'd be nice to share some.

cool, will be nice to see how you've got on so far.

I did some aerial shots of my dad's next-door neighbours house a few weeks back, using my gopro2 set in timer mode, took a 11mp still every two seconds from my tricopter.  I did that one LOS as I had the gopro angled down slightly from the normal view of the fpv camera.

Nice one.  How do the gopro stills look?  Be interested to see a couple of those.

Are you keen on the AP side too then?  I'm guessing so - couple of nice pics on the left of the page at the moment that are yours and are pretty damned good!

I'll post the images of the AP shots when I get home and have access to the images :)
