Mihai, I might need to order a set of 2.4 soon if that's ok....
I've just ordered FY31AP from firstpersonview.co.uk and I'll fully test the range of my 5.8VTX and my 2.4 Turnigy 9x TX.

we'll see which one looses range first eh? lol

I'm just about to order some OpenLRS so will need 2.4 video gear soon :)

Great service.  just a question with regards to a 5.8ghz video rx:  Is it possible to add an extension cable between rx connector and aerial if you wanted to have the silver can rx in base station box and aerial up higher on a stick say 1/2 meter max?

Cheers

Hi, unfortunately I don't have any extension cables. The antennas I make come with ~7cm long cables. You can buy an extension cable from ebay or amazon though :)

Mihai.

PS: anyone else wanting antennas (ppl that have already ordered excluded) now is the time to order as I'm making antennas tomorrow :))

I mean is it ok to add an additional extension without affecting the video reception?  compared to having the aerial connected immediatly to the video rx like normal.  cheers

@Cupid Stunt

I can make sets for any frequency but I can only test them for 5.8 and 2.4. I haven't got a 1.2 vts but they should work equally well.

@Gav

Don't see why it should affect anything. You will prob have 1-2 dbm attenuation because of the extension but it really depends what cable you using. but the shorter the cable the better usually.
