Gutted for you mate

I lost my first quad an f450 for 3 days when I first started, went back everyday looking for it walking up and down in the long grass not really sure were it was ! Eventually found it in a tree lol just keep going back looking you will find it eventually, these minis are a nightmare to find when they go down and they are rarely where you think they will be. At least you have the barbed wire fence to go on so you know it is near one. Good luck and I hope it doesn't put you off too much. At least you will never lose as many quads as xxpitt he has lost dozens mostly in lakes and streams.

Thanks guys giving me some much needed encouragement to get back out there and look.
I called the farmer yesterday to see if he would allow me onto his land to have a proper look and get stuck into bushes and cow pats. He said he will take a stroll and have a look in the meantime and call me if he finds it as earliest I can get there is Saturday. It's just horrible thinking of it all cold, wet and alone in a field probably all broken. I WILL find it Saturday. I'll take all day if need be

i know its too late like but the gps trackers are a life saver too and ben mentioning the shielding the rx etc ive used that couple of times works a treat etc..

Yeah I'm kicking myself for flying without any sort of tracking or alarm. Wasn't expecting too loose it in such close proximity. Ah well lesson learnt
