Wanted to tart up the ends of the arms!

These end caps are drawn up and printed laying on their side, gets a better finish. Intended to fit into 15mm sq tubing from Wickes (13mm sq inside).

Layer height 0.15mm Tried 0.1 but the finish wasn't much better!
Print speed 50mm/s
PLA
support on.

Here they are fitted to the UAV. Seems to finish it off nice!

Just out of interest, here is a smaller version to fit 100 sq tube!

Had chance to look at the telem antenna, wanted some kind of cable grip to hold the cable feeding the antenna, wanted this to take any strain instead of the soldered ends! This is what I came up with!

Made from rigid PLA it is springy due to its shape, the cable is held centrally, the grip is pushed into the square tube, a little round protrusion fits holes in the tubing so that it can lock anywhere there is a hole.

About 2 years ago I bought a load of CF prop blades from China, at the time I didn't realise they were the T motor (2 bolt type) and never had any motors capable of mounting them on, so still have them all!

FPVModel (advertised on this forum) sell motors with this style of mounting so thought it a good idea to upgrade the UAV

The original system: The NTM 1000kv PropDrive motors were fine, the prop adapters seemed to run quite true, the cheapo props were called 'cf reinforced', but was unable see any cf on the ones I broke!, They never broke in flight, but quite fragile if in contact with anything! they were 10X4.5

The upgraded system uses fpvModel motors, same 1000kv, full CF props 10X5.5. Main advantage is the lighter, airfoil shaped props, slightly more pitch! Hope they are better ballanced than the old props! (and stronger!) Haven't tested them out yet!

Mounting holes ( the longer direction was the same 19mm on both motors so it was an easy matter to swap them over! fpvModel motors come with bullet connectors in the box, so need to solder them on! Nice quality motor leads.
