if I could somehow get it to 500grams I would take the BT off just to get that target! not sure it would be possible to shed another 30g though without changing the lipo.

There is a lot of steel in multi story carparks, probably not the ideal place to fly!

Ben, Think you are going to have trouble getting down to 500grams, your already using nylon spacers. Nylon screws just aren't strong enough, maybe shorter steel ones! Maybe a few grams could be saved removing the mobious battery and taking supply from the flight system. Don't really think its worth the hassle though!

Well I took off the BT and the OSD and then wired in a LC filter with a 470 size cap and I went down from about 533grams to 528grams LOL the BT is only about 7.5 grams, overall its still 20-25 grams lighter than it was when it was on UHF and 1.2 anyway so at least its gone the right way! My other 4s spanky with the heavier sunny motors is about 585grams

Would it not be worth a shot on those zippy 1300mah at 101g 6 quid
http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__32111__ZIPPY_Compact_1300mAh_3S_25C_Lipo_Pack_UK_Warehouse_.html

Or the 1300mah flightmax 104g  5 quid only 20c though
http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__31947__ZIPPY_Flightmax_1300mAh_3S1P_20C_UK_Warehouse_.html

Turnigy 1300mah 109g
http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__9272__Turnigy_1300mAh_3S_20C_Lipo_Pack.html

The lightest 1300mah lipos I can find are these at 97g

Too expensive though and from china

sweet, having them on the arms makes more sense than a separate unit like what i have bought, just one more thing to break

this build is going all kinds of wrong. got no black heat shrink so gotta use yellow with green stripes lol, motor to esc wires not long enough so having to extend them  :-X was hoping for a straight swap from one quad to the other, mrs made me stop building to watch the shitest film ever with her. so going nowhere fast

Is that the mini build Dave?

I decided against widening the gap for the ESC's to fit, they are half on top of the legs, half in the main frame, still needed to open heatshrink but solder motor leads directly to ESC's but looks fairly.
