if you have one already it will be fine so long as it fits, if you are buying one then this is the recommended one

Yes standard lipo will work, the only difference with the transmitter packs is they only need to be low output, like 1 or 2C. so you can get a large capacity in a small space, of course you need to select a battery with the appropriate connections for your particular transmitter.

I use a Turnigy 2.65mAh 1C in my futaba set.

Good stuff I must have been mistaken somewhere down the line regarding the balancing plug. That's not a problem at all then mate.
Wondered If I could squeeze a few more recommendations from you guys.
Simple OSD that will work with the Ezuhf stuff and the Racewood/lawmate AV stuff. Regarding the RTH function It sounds like a MUST for me but Is it something to be worried about. Is it as good as it sounds? Like loss of signal It will fly home at certain altitude ect?
I also here about the ability to See signal strength On-board In Some osd's? Rssi or something like this? That sounds helpful.
I have seen OSD's from 20 -150 odd pounds, Not sure what It is I will need exactly If I'm honest? Can you shed a bit of light On the OSD's for me. Am I looking for certain models to fit with my set up or is any OSD likely to work fine?
Also It might be a stupid question. But I have a neighbour Who used CB radio and has some HUGE antennas poking into the heavens. (looks a right mess) and I'm sure from my old CB radio days Its broadcasting in UHF.
Eventually I would like to fly from home like I mentioned, admittedly something for the future but Is this likely To mess up my signals at all?
I hope not or the old boys going to have to find a new hobby
Or get a mobile phone or even better the internet

skylark tiny osd $100 is great and works with ezuhf rssi (ezuhf rssi is digital so you have to choose your osd carefully) however tiny doesnt have RTH, skylark do another version called dianmu that does but you may be running before you can walk adding a RTH osd in at this stage.
I use RVOSD on my long range plane its great does everything you could imagine but it cost $300 its a full RTH OSD but can be a bit overwhelming at first again this one works with ezuhf, infact they all work with ezuhf but not all of them work with ezuhf rssi (rc link signal strength indicator on screen)
the good thing about ezuhf is you can use a receiver and the pc app as a spectrum analyser and see if there is any other uhf in same band that is likely to cause you problems.

Right so my check has cleared and I'm going to spend A load of money tomorrow.
But as always Gav needs help......Again!
I noticed when looking for places to order the Multiplex twinstar 2. That there is no ARF kit. Well on one site It said they did do a complete kit but I couldn't find It . I know that It comes with motors and props and well that seems to be it.
Can you good guys here Recommend some decent yet affordable kit to fill her up. Its going to be esc's, lipo, servos and probably lots of other stuff I cant think of. Wont be needing Rx as Ill be using the Ezuhf stuff and as far a lipo goes I would like the biggest and most Mah I can possibly fit. Or at least something that will get me 25-30 mins flight time any more is a bonus.
here's what I found so far
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Multiplex-Twinstar-II-Kit-/271564665931?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item3f3a83f44b
http://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=5379
This build is already over budget for me by a fair way at this point. Really needing to keep the pennies down at this point If at all possible, so I cant afford a kit like this unfortunately, or is that simply unavoidable?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Multiplex-Power-Drive-Twinstar-II-BL-/271194505511?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item3f2473c127
Once again would be fantastic If I could keep the purchases within the uk or as close as possible. Really want/need to avoid surprise shipping fees or import charges.
Anything you can suggest will be greatly appreciated as always.
Thanks In advance!
Gav

Shit! Good old SloughRC. bastards, must be the dearest on the net at £103.50
Try here: £63
http://www.totemhobbies.co.uk/product/multiplex-twinstar-ii#.U-kwWWPJDAw
Next, the MPX power train is good stuff but ridiculously over priced
Example of what I used is couple of 1000kv out-runners and couple cheapo 30A ESC's
motors like £6.70 ea:
D2830-11 1000kv Brushless Motors: http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=28675
These need the shaft reversing, then the mounting holes will fit the standard plastic cowls, (need to relieve internal cowl plastic ribs). Mounting bolt holes match the cowl and motor! 1000kv was chosen to use larger props (keep the noise down) seem to work well, I had a bag of 20 or so 8" props from the original giant shark place for peanuts, these happen to fit perfectly (nearly threw them away!)
Would advise 30A ESC's
I used these cheap ones at £6.09 ea
http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=25986
They work fine but the turnigy programmer won't recognise them so purely from that point of view I would prefer plush esc's.
Think carefully whether you want to glue the two fuselage halves or keep them separate, makes it very easy to modify and change internal wiring...
I went for a single battery, the standard turnigy lipo series 5.8mAh 3S will fit in the existing hole beneath the wing without modification. You could probably fit 10000mAh but have never tried!
http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=26795
My servos are a bit marginal (perhaps) but found them adequate and reliable on similar sized foamies (and very cheap): Not recommending them, just what I chose to use!
http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=38024
Ok have just saved you £175. That'l pay for your ezUHF, (or you could always post it to me as a paypal gift!) lol

Just to clarify! The twinstar is a kit! it doesn't come as an rtf! You don't really want a rtf plane, as a kit it is easier to plan and install all the gear that was never meant to fit in it...

And the bigMouse comes through yet again will some great Info. and saves me some much needed dough
I did get a little lost with the reversing of the shafts and what not. But ill read it another 5 times It might make more sense. I got lots to learn but saving 175 spondoolies Is right up my street!
There's a drink in it for anyone in my neck of the woods who fancy's rigging this stuff up for me,
But I'm keen to learn at the same time. Either way I'm sure Ill be picking your brain again In the near future!
Cheers man. Great stuff!
EDIT. Yes mate I did have a think about gluing the halves ect. I think Ill leave them halfs and hold them together somehow For flight. Don't want to not be able to get back inside or make a mess opening it If need be.
