Onboard graphics is Intel HD 3000 it can work but not through the VGA port only through DVI or HDMI which is no good to me as I am using a VGA monitor, searching around I cant find anyone who has got a ATI HD 4650 card working either just lots of posts people asking for help and no replies. Might have to knock it on the head until I get a natively supported graphics card (hopefully of santa)

Made some progress with the HD4650, can get it to recognize it and after adding my graphics card id to the kext I can also change the resolution to 1600x1050 and all is well .... until I reboot, it gets past the apple logo screen and the login screen it zoomed in so much i cant see the login info although i can type blind and get through that. Also at this stage because the card has 2 dvi outputs I can change the vga cable (with dvi adaptor) from one port to the other and it shows me the login. When I get back into windows my lovely 1600x1050 screen has gone weird again.

Well the Niresh version of Mountain Lion sailed straight on no sweat, graphics worked sweet. However my WNA1100 usb wifi stick isnt mac compatible so I have ordered a new one which should arrive tomorrow and in the meantime put win7 back on. I have also ordered a new USB memory stick (32gb for £12.99) so I can compile my own install and not have the niresh branded version.

I had the usual 'wont wake from sleep' issue which there are fixes for and also an 'EBIOS read error! Error 0x31" on boot up which i never saw last time i tried os x, but it boots fine still, hoping this error will go away when I make my own install drive.

I normally try to keep as much stock osx as possible ill have a read up on ya board, with that gfx card and a compat wifi you should be able to install std osx DVD then just install mods for few specific bits of hardware most moded discs try and and be compatable with that many boards there not perfect on any, I'm sure people have your board working 100 percent with sleep and everything

Here she is...

Intel i5 2500k Sandbybridge Overclocked to 4Ghz
8GB Kingston RAM
Hyper Evo X Cooler
Samsung EVO 250GB SSD
Western Digital 3TB Hard Drive
EVGA 2GB GTX 770 Superclocked
Corsair Carbide 300 Case
Corsair M60 Mouse
Corsair K90 Keyboard with Red Cherry MX Keys
Corsair 1500 V1 7.1 Headset
Cyborg X FLY5 Flight Stick

Was thinking of upgrading to an i7 4770k. As im using it mainly for gaming though and soon to be minor video editing I don't think i'd see much of a performance increase to warrant me soending the £250 on it or however much it costs. Just some 16gb Corsair Dominator RAM to put in then that's me finished till a new super processor comes out :)

I was gonna type something crude about the toilet roll next to your monitor ... will pass on it though ;)
