why did it get locked?
got an email saying mark locked it
then another saying mark unlocked it
anyhoo...
I think a FPV phantom would be more suitable... I already have a decent power setup for a wing (thanks mark) seems daft to let it sit there doing nothing and buy effectively another 2 x power setups.

pah!
just bought a second hand one. bit rough round the edges (don't know what's going on with the paintwork lol) but for £30 it came with 2 x 890kv keda motors, 2 x 20A escs and all 4 servos preinstalled.
I just need to paint it back to white and make a FPV canopy for it.

I used these in mine:
http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=28675
1000kv may be a bit on the low side but want to use larger (quieter) props.
I used 30A ESC's, 20A might be a bit marginal...

Oh forgot to say, to fit those motors you need to reverse the shaft, motor mounting is a direct fit in the TS standard mouldings, only need to reduce the webs for clearance...

Chris, Is that silver paint! If so it has the potential of reducing range!

yes it's silver paint, I'll be gently removing it with some fine sandpaper before respraying with a white basecoat ready for my own design.
I know I wont be able to get it all off, but this isn't going to be a FPV platform for a while. it's taking a back seat to my Skywalker and the TekSumo, both of which need to be completed first.
I don't even have any FPV gear for the Twinstar yet, I have a spare FPV camera (metal cased pz0420) but no VTX or OSD for it.
Where have other people located the Storm OSD on this? It doesn't look like it has a lot of room inside once the LiPo is in there.

Actually there is stacks of room in there but probably hard to locate the spaces once the halves have been glued together, My fuz will stay in two halves, makes it really easy to rewire and test different set ups. I'll take some pics so you can see where the spaces are!

This shows where the spaces are! I'm initially setting this one up for los, find a happy CogG, then will add apm. Will also test fly some old eagleTree I have here!
Last pic shows a Turnigy 5.8 Lipo, a perfect fit! Those batteries are great value for money!

Yeah I see what you mean... Once glued there's no chance. Where's storm on your mark?

ah bugger... this one is all glued up and such... I'll just use a basic OSD on it and hide it all in a canopy construction or whatever.

Storm OSD going in mine eventually. got a good spot for it. will be 2.4 control and 5.8 video though. not using this for long range, skywalker for that.
sanded off most of the silver paint, but couldn't go too far as it started to sand away the foam underneath... here it is all painted back to white
