Simular to how I mount mine except I use velcro strap instead of elastic band to hold the cam onto the foam.

i used zip-ties to hard mount the gopro1 to my disco frame, with just a single thickness of 6mm grey depron foam (non paper backed). never had any issues with jello on my disco.

mount my gopro2 on 2 layers double sided tape and then tight elastic bands,after lots of messing and experimenting found it likes to be mounted real solid.
