hehe, my next FPV purchase is already decided mate new groundstation recorder (FPV1000 from readymaderc)

although I'm confused why they didn't stock them in the UK ?!?

You could save a few quid and get a Jetview like mine, not the greatest quality and has a time stamp but it's OK

definitely good enough quality recording there Terry.

Only downside for me is the fact that it needs an external power supply, and a screen that isn't the "flying screen/goggles" to navigate the menus.

I need the ability to just plug the AV from the goggles into a recorder with no other wires or mess.

The Archos was great for that, but the requirement for the DVR adapter to accept AV input meant it got a bit bulky in my pocket. Then because ALL archos recorders have poor battery life, I had to make up a lipo charge lead/adapter using a 5.1v 3A UBEC... simple enough but again, in my pocket I had the archos, the dvr adapter, a UBEC, a LiPo and a bunch of wires.

with the FPV1000 its just a case of plug the AV from goggs into the AVin, and jobs a good'n

I don't mind paying the price if I'm honest, I got a good deal from selling the Archos so have a bit of cash to put towards it.
