She now has Rmilec UHF gear set up and working

I'm just having some teething problems, right now any tiny movement of the pan/tilt servos results in a restart of the Arduflyer, no idea why yet, going to have to get a meter on there to see what's happening and trace all the wires
Got the electrics all running on a seperate 5a SBEC, none of the other servos cause problems
All servos except for the pan/tilt are controlled through the APM2.5 the pan/tilt servos are direct from the receiver
I might have to wire power for all servos direct from the SBEC but leave the signal wires as they are

Hi everyone..

Forgive my intrusion but I only came accross this excellent forum yesterday.

I've been keenly watching a massive thread on here
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1706026&page=56#post22886340

There's a lot of info on mods, some which scare me to death and some which make me twitch with anxiety due to the agricultural way they are done but however it do make some interesting reading..

Of patricular interests was the fact that the stock props seem to give some issues as they are moulded off centre, not the centre hole but the blades are not 180 degrees !!

I will be going the kit route and ordering mine via a friend who has a delivery base in the USA and has offered to ship mine over for free so just waiting his return from overseas to seal the deal..

Just found this:
Super Sky Surfer long range 7km FPV flight

Now here's an odd one

Looks like Nitroplanes are doing a kit version of the same but this comes with a standard motor mount AND an EDF unit

http://www.nitroplanes.com/95a289-giantglider-kit.html

Still requires the EDF motor, esc and servos OR standard motor, esc and servos

I would be very interested to see how this compares to the Penquin for flight times and stability. Especially gliding ability. :)
